Merge Life | Card Collection FAQs

The Card Collection event is a time-limited Merge Life event where you try to earn all cards in three unique sets. Each card is a special digital asset that can be bought or sold on Vessel Marketplace using Vessel tokens. There are 18 unique cards you can collect. Right now there are 3 unique sets, with 6 cards in each set.

Card Collections & Gold Folios

  1. What is the Card Collection Event?

    The Card Collection event is a time-limited Merge Life event where you try to earn all cards in three unique sets. Each card is an NFT asset you can buy and sell on the Vessel Marketplace using Vessel coins.

    There are 18 unique cards you can collect. Currently, there are 3 unique sets, with 6 cards in each set.

  2. How do I get trading cards?

    You can get trading cards by spinning the special Card Wheel during the event. You can access the Spin Wheel from the main event menu.

    To be able to spin the wheel, you must complete the Card Task located on the Merge Board.

    Each Card Task will require you to submit 5 different merge items. Once you complete a Card Task, you can spin the Card Wheel once.

    The outcome of the spin wheel is random, so you may get duplicate cards you’ve already collected. To see the exact drop rates of each card, click the Info button on the top left of the spin wheel.

    If you wish, you can also spin the wheel with an in-app purchase.

  3. What is a Golden Folio?

    A Golden Folio is a special reward for completing a card set. Once you get a Golden Folio, you can earn a daily rewards from it. Each Golden Folio rewards a different type of currency. The Golden Folio is also a valuable NFT worth real money. To sell the Golden Folio, you must connect to Vessel. See Connecting to the Vessel Mobile App section.

    • Mischief Master Golden Folio will reward 170 Gems everyday (trade in for the Under the Bed! set). If you earn this card, you can sell it on Vessel Marketplace for the equivalent of $100.
    • Stripes & Solids will reward 1 Max Level Booster everyday, cycling between the three types (trade in for Happy Hobbies set). YIf you earn this card, you can sell it on Vessel Marketplace for the equivalent of $75.
    • King Baxter III Golden Folio will reward 100 Energy everyday (trade in for the Cuddly Companions set). If you earn this card, you can sell it on Vessel Marketplace for the equivalent of $50.

    You must tap CLAIM on the menu to open up the Golden Folio view, where you can collect your daily reward.

  4. How do I earn Golden Folios?

    To earn a Golden Folio, you must first collect all 6 cards within the corresponding set. Next, you need to trade the entire set for a Golden Folio. This trade will consume the 6 cards, giving you a Golden Folio. You can earn more cards in the future.

    Once you have a completed set, an option will appear to trade in your entire set to claim the Golden Folio.

  5. Can I have more than one Golden Folio?

    You can earn and obtain as many Golden Folios as you want! However, multiple Golden Folios of the same type do not stack rewards. We encourage you to sell any extra Golden Folios on the Vessel Marketplace.

  6. How often does the Card Collection event occur?

    For now, there is no predetermined schedule for when the event takes place.

  7. What happens to my cards and Golden Folio cards after the event has ended?

    Even when the Card Collection is over, you’ll still have access to your cards and Golden Folios. You can access them by tapping the Card Collections icon on the Home screen.

    Golden Folios will continue to give you daily rewards even when the event is over as long as you have them in your possession.

    Your regular Trading cards can still be sold in the Vessel Marketplace. You can even browse the marketplace to buy any cards you couldn’t obtain during the event.

  8. How rare is each card?

    Card drops are random and are determined when a card is earned. Actual rates may vary due to random chance but should be close to the following.

  9. What is the Vessel: NFT Wallet app?

    The Vessel: NFT Wallet app is an all-in-one marketplace and wallet that makes it easy to manage your NFTs. With Vessel, you can buy, sell, and trade NFTs simply and securely. It’s not an investment tool but a fun, rewarding way to get even more out of the apps and games you love.

  10. Why do I need the Vessel: NFT Wallet app to buy and sell cards and Golden Folio assets?

    The Vessel: NFT Wallet app is our tool for awarding digital assets simply and securely. The app allows players to buy, sell, or redeem assets that are worth real money. Digital security is our top priority and will determine if this technology is successful with our audience.

    Unlike regular in-app purchases, which cannot be traded between players, NFTs are far more flexible. By turning the Trading Cards and the Golden Folio into NFTs, players can now buy and sell them for real-world currency.

    For example, if you decide to stop playing Merge Life, you can go into the Vessel mobile app and sell your Golden Folio or Trading cards to another player. You will earn money, and the other player will benefit from your cards. Alternatively, if you are missing a card that completes a set for a Golden Folio, it might be available to buy from another player with extras.

  11. What is a Vessel Coin?

    Vessel Coin is a new digital asset created by OpenVessel. Built on Blockchain technology, Vessel Coins can be purchased, earned, and redeemed for cash within the Vessel platform.

  13. How do I create a Vessel account?

    First, download the Vessel: NFT Wallet app. On iOS, you can download it at:

    The first time you open the Vessel mobile app, you will be prompted to make an account.

    Use your email to create an account. You will get a confirmation email to confirm your identity; it will come from the address noreply@openvessel.io. Check your spam or junk folder if you don’t see this email in your inbox.

    Once you click the link in this email, your account will be created! The next time you enter the Vessel mobile app, you will see the Vessel home screen.

  14. How do I connect my game to Vessel?

    Once you have created an account in the Vessel: NFT Wallet app, you can connect to it from within Merge Life. To access Vessel, simply click on any card in the Card Collection screen, where you can bring it up in its full view.

    When your game attempts to connect with Vessel, you should see a small loading screen, and then Vessel will open automatically and show a confirmation screen.

  15. How do I sell trading cards in Vessel?

    If you haven’t connected Vessel to Merge Life, follow the instructions for Connecting to the Vessel mobile app.

    If you have already connected the Vessel: NFT Wallet app to Merge Life, you simply have to open up the full view of the card you want to sell. This also applies to the Golden Folio.

    Once in the full card view, you simply tap the pink Sell on Vessel button to list the card on Vessel.

    Note that once you list the card on Vessel, it will no longer be in your inventory in-game. If you wish to get the card back, you must de-list the card on Vessel.

  16. How do I sell a Golden Folio in Vessel?

    To sell a Golden Folio you own, tap on the Golden Folio card in the Card Collection Menu to bring it to full-size view.

    When you tap Sell on Vessel, it will open the Vessel mobile app.

    Within a few minutes of opening the app, you should see an offer for a certain amount of Vessel Coins. This offer is generated automatically; the amount is calculated to be worth $50, $75, or $100, depending on which Golden Folio you are listing. Remember that Vessel Coin can be exchanged with cash at 1 VSL* = $0.01 USD.

    You can either accept this automatic offer, or you can put your Golden Folio on the market to be available to other players.

    To sell your Golden Folio to another player, use the Place on Sale button. Players will make bids on your Golden Folio, and you will have the option to accept one of these bids. Note that the player bids are varied and can be worth more or less than the initial automatic offer.

    For any Golden Folios you have listed in the Vessel Marketplace, if you don’t have another copy in your in-game inventory, you will no longer receive daily rewards for that Golden Folio.

  17. The market is empty! Where can I find cards for sale?

    Trading cards and Golden Folios are exclusive items that are only available when sold by other Merge Life players. If you see a blank marketplace when you enter the Merge Life game screen on Vessel, there are currently no trading cards or Golden Folios for sale.

    If this is the case for you, you can either:

    • Wait for somebody to list their trading cards or Golden Folio on sale.
    • Keep playing the game and the Card Collection to earn cards and optionally list them for sale in the Vessel marketplace!

  18. How can I buy a trading card or Golden Folio?

    There are two ways to purchase the Golden Folio or trading cards from another player. The first way is to tap the Merge Life icon from your connected Vessel mobile app.

    If there are Golden Folio cards or normal trading cards available for purchase, you will see a list of cards with their asking prices. Tap on one of these listings, and you will see the option to buy one using Vessel Coins.

    The second way is through the Merge Life app. Simply navigate to a card or Golden Folio you do not own and bring it to full-screen view. If you do not have the card you selected, the Sell on Vessel button will be replaced with Buy on Vessel. Clicking this button will take you to listings on Vessel for the card, where you can buy with Vessel Coins.

  19. Where can I buy Vessel Coin?

    Vessel Coin can be purchased through the Vessel mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

  20. How do I redeem Vessel Coins for cash?

    Tap Withdraw within the Profile Section of the Vessel mobile app. If Withdraw isn’t on your profile page, please contact us at support@openvessel.io, and we’ll assist you with the withdrawal.

    You will be prompted to select the amount of Vessel Coins you wish to withdraw and then a Paypal account to receive your money. The Vessel Coins will automatically be redeemed into USD.

    For legal reasons, you may need to submit some contact details and other identifying information before withdrawing your Vessel Coins.

20.5. HELP! Some of my cards ARE MISSING! > This error may occur if you have disconnected your Merge Life account from Vessel OR if you are playing from a new device which has not connected to Vessel: NFT Wallet yet. You should still have all your cards, but the in-game counters have not been updated yet to reflect it. > To fix this error, please try connecting your Merge Life account to Vessel once more. After a few moments after our servers sync your data and data on Vessel, you should have a correct display of your cumulative cards and any ‘missing’ cards should be restored.

  3. What is an NFT?

    An NFT is a special collectible whose ownership can be securely tracked. “NFT” stands for “non-fungible token,” a unique digital asset. NFTs are stored in digital wallets such as the Vessel: NFT Wallet.

    Think of the Golden Folio and trading cards as you would think of a house or car: it’s simply an item that can be bought and sold. The difference is that they live in an online, digital wallet that can unlock rewards in Merge Life.

  4. Can Vessel Coin be redeemed on other exchanges or platforms?

    No. Vessel Coin is not a traditional cryptocurrency. We are selling virtual currency only redeemable for cash on our platform. Our token exists on the blockchain as a proof of record, not as a store of value.

  5. Will Vessel Coin fluctuate in value?

    Vessel Coin should maintain a consistent purchase and sale price intended to prevent fluctuation in the price of Vessel Coin. However, specific item values in the Vessel Marketplace may fluctuate based on supply and demand from players.

  6. What is the conversion rate for Vessel Coins to US Dollars when being redeemed?

  7. I made an accidental purchase of Vessel Coins. How can I request a refund?

  9. I’m not a US citizen. Can I still use the Vessel marketplace and wallet?

    If Google Play or the iOS App Store is available in your country, you are eligible to use the Vessel wallet and marketplace.

    For purchasing and redeeming Vessel Coins for cash, we rely on Paypal for paying out consumers, which supports over 200 countries and 25 currencies. Please refer to this list to ensure Paypal is available in your country.

  10. Can I transfer my Vessel coin to another cryptocurrency wallet?
